EUREKA, Ill. - The Rockford University women's soccer team rolled to an easy 13-0 road win on Tuesday night at Eureka College.
Peyton Scott got things started with her first goal of the season less than eight minutes into the match, giving her team a 1-0 lead.
Daisy Martinez followed with a trio of goals over the next 27 minutes to help give Rockford a commanding 8-0 advantage heading into the break. Rockford tacked on five more goals in the second half, including two from
Mia Ostler to give her a hat trick, en route to the victory. The Regents outshot the Red Devils 31-3, which included a 23-2 advantage in shots on goal. Rockford's 13-0 win ties its largest margin of victory ever against Eureka (09/06/23).
- Rockford broke the scoreless tie in the eighth minute when Peyton Scott found the back of the net for the first time this season.
- Daisy Martinez then scored three of the next four goals, with the other coming from Silia Banza, to make it a 5-0 game with 13:08 left in the first half.
- Mia Ostler, Iris Acosta and Lourdes Tomas tallied the final three goals of the opening half to give the Regents a 8-0 lead at the break.
- Mia Ostler, Daisy Martinez and Jasmine Landberg each scored a goal over a two and a half minute span midway through the second half to make it an 11-0 RU advantage.
- Mia Ostler then tallied her third goal of the match during the 76th minute and Silia Banza capped off the scoring in the 80th minute with her second goal of the evening.
