WHITEWATER, Wis. - The Rockford University men's soccer team fell 6-1 on the road Wednesday evening at UW-Whitewater. The Warhawks scored three goals in each half, with Luka Breslin tallying the first two goals of the match. Rockford's lone goal came in the 88th minute off the foot of
Ian Jurgensen. The Regents were outshot 30-6 in the match, including 15-3 in shots on goal.
- Luka Breslin gave the Warhawks a quick 2-0 advantage with goals in the third and 16th minutes of the match.Â
- UWW's Cooper Re tacked on another goal in the 19th minute to give the Warhawks a 3-0 lead heading into the break.
- The Warhawks once again opened the half strong, scoring two more goals in the first 16 minutes to extend their advantage to 5-0.
- However, Rockford's Ian Jurgensen finally got the Regents on the board with his first goal of the season. Jurgensen found the back of the net on a penalty kick in the 78th minute to make it a 5-1 game.
- Unfortunately, Whitewater added one final goal in the 86th minute to seal the 6-1 win.
