ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's basketball team won in impressive fashion 87-51 over the Illinois Tech Scarlet Hawks. Rockford was in complete control, leading by as many as 38 points and never trailing in the game. The Regents also fired their best shooting performance of the season with a 32-67 (47.8%) day from the field, while the defense held Illinois Tech to just a 22-61 (36.1%) performance. Rockford also completely dominated the glass, holding a massive 50-26 advantage in rebounds, including 19-8 on the offensive end and 31-18 on the defensive end. The victory gave Rockford its 6th straight win over Illinois Tech and the second-largest margin of victory over the Scarlet Hawks in program history.

- The Scarlet Hawks tried to cut into the Rockford lead, but the Regents were able to hold at least a two-possession lead for the entire quarter eventually, holding a 26-16 lead after Nia Wilkerson buried a triple in the dwindling seconds of the first quarter.
- The Regents continued to grow their lead into the second quarter, opening up with a 9-0 run to take a 35-16 lead. Rockford was 3-4 (75%) from the field and a perfect 2-2 (100%) from the line during the stretch.
- The RU defense played phenomenally this quarter, only sacrificing 2 points the entire quarter, while the offense outscored Illinois Tech 20-2 to give Rockford a commanding 46-18 lead going into the break.
- Rockford continued its momentum going into the second half as the Regents opened the third quarter with an 11-2 run, capped off by a Katie Paredes jumper to give RU a massive 37-point, 57-20 lead with 5 minutes left in the quarter.
- Illinois Tech was able to muster up a slight 12-7 run, but the Regents stayed in the driver's seat, eventually holding a 64-32 lead heading into the fourth quarter.
- The Scarlet Hawks never got any closer than 27 points the rest of the way and the Regents coasted to the 87-51 victory.

- D'Asia Washington led the way with a game-high 24 points, with a season-high 12 rebounds and 4 assists en route to her second double-double of the season.
- Lexi Keating provided her third-straight double-digit performance with 20 points on 8-13 (61.5%) shooting, she also added 4 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal and a game-high 5 assists.
