PLYMOUTH, Wis. -- The Rockford University men's soccer team lost to NACC conference opponent, Lakeland University, 2-0 on Saturday evening.
In goal,
Wesley Pritzlaff played in all 90 minutes of game action, accumulating a total of nine saves.
Andrew Roth recorded a team-high six shots with two of those shots on goal.
Both defenses showed out in the first half, until LU scored a late first-half goal in the 44th minute, taking a 1-0 lead at halftime.
The defenses still held strong for both the Regents and the Muskies in the second half; however, the Muskies were able to generate enough offense to take the match, scoring once more in the 57th minute to pull away.
The match was even all afternoon as LU only outshot RU 15-12 and had three more corner kicks with five to RU's two.
The Regents will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 15, with a 3:30 p.m. CDT NACC match vs Concordia University Wisconsin at Sam Greeley Field.
