ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Rockford University women's basketball team fell to the Illinois College Lady Blues, 90-40, on Saturday afternoon.

Nia Wilkerson led Rockford in scoring with 13. Katie Paredes followed closely behind with 12 and also added 4 assists. Haylee West managed to snare a team-high 9 rebounds.

IC came out of the gates blazing hot, knocking down a three four seconds into the game. The Lady Blues shot 9-15 from three in the first half and took a 57-19 lead into the break.

The second half saw Illinois College cool off from behind the arc, going 2-12. They found scoring in other ways, eventually putting the Regents away 90-40.

The Regents will return to action on Monday, Nov. 24, vs Illinois Tech in their NACC conference opener. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CST.  Read Full Article
