BELLEVILLE, Ill. -- The Rockford University women's bowling team competed at the McKendree Matchgames over the weekend, which was a two-day event that took place on Saturday and Sunday at Bel-Air Bowl.
Neelah Vandeberg led the way with her impressive individual performance to lead the Regents to finish 11th on the overall individual leaderboard out of 158 competitors. Vandeberg broke two more records this weekend. With her 960 series and tournament average of 192, she now has the highest tournament score and highest tournament average ever recorded in program history. Vandeberg had a game-high score of 227 in her fourth game. Vandeberg has now broken three records this season. She previously recorded the highest individual game score on Nov. 8 at the Leatherneck Classic, when she had a game-high score of 247 to have the highest game score ever recorded in the program.
In the baker games, the Regents hit a total of 6,469 pins.
The Regents will return to action on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 6 & 7, when they will travel to Addison, Ill., to compete at the Warhawk Open.
