BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- The Rockford University men's basketball team won its second-straight game against Eureka College in a non-conference game, 75-63, on Monday.
Cooper Jackson led the Regents offensively, tying his career-high in points with 19. Jackson also led the team on the boards with nine rebounds to record a near double-double.
Jaden Bell and
Kamren Hogan had solid performances for Rockford. Hogan scored 13 points, to go along with seven rebounds and five assists, while Bell totaled 12 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
The Regents went on a 30-8 run to end the first half after trailing 15-8 to take a 38-23 lead at the break.
The Red Devils did not go away, as they were able to cut the deficit down to one at 52-51 with 8:23 remaining.
Rockford did not flinch, as
Luke Stuckey knocked down a triple to spark a 7-0 run to allow Regents to pull away to grab their second-straight win.
The Regents shot well from the floor at 48.3%, 29.6% from downtown, and dominated Eureka on the glass, outrebounding the Red Devils 39-29.
The Regents will return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 16, when they play at non-conference opponent Maranatha Baptist University at 5 p.m. CST.
