ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's basketball team fell 70-40 to the defending NACC champion Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors in a Saturday afternoon conference game. Rockford put together a strong first quarter, leading 18-11 after one, but the Warriors scored at least 19 points in the next three quarters while holding Rockford to single digit scoring in each of those quarters. Throughout the contest, the Warriors shot 23-56 (41.1%) from the field compared to just 15-53 (28.3%) for the Regents. WLC also controlled the lane as they held a 32-16 advantage in points in the paint.
- Rockford opened the game with a 10-5 run. The Regents shot 4-6 (66.7%) from the field, 2-2 (100%) from three-point range and were led by Lexi Keating with 5 points.
- The Regents eventually grew their lead to their largest of the day at 18-10 after a Kyla Wilkerson jumper and later closed the first quarter with an 18-11 lead.
- The Warriors quickly stole the lead from Rockford with an 8-0 run to open the second quarter and give WLC a slight 19-18 lead.
- Rockford quickly responded and retook the lead at 21-19 with a D'Asia Washington three-point play, but unfortunately, WLC put together a 13-1 run over the final 5 minutes and 51 seconds of the half to take a 32-22 lead into the break.
- WLC added to its lead to begin the second half with a 9-3 spurt to take a 41-25 lead.
- The Warriors grew their lead to as many as 20 by quarter's end to take a commanding 51-31 lead going into the final quarter.
- WLC led by as many as 31 in the fourth quarter and eventually closed out the game for the 70-40 victory.
- D'Asia Washington recorded her 5th double-double of the season with 14 points and 12 rebounds, she also picked up 1 assist and 1 steal.
- Lexi Keating had 8 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal
