ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Rockford University men's basketball team extended their winning streak to four after a 71-54 victory over the Dominican University Stars on Wednesday night.
Four Regents scored in double-digits.
Adrian Agee led the group with 18, as he knocked down five three-pointers.
Tre Miller filled up the stat sheet, putting up a crisp 14 points, five rebounds, and seven assists.
Jaden Bell was the rebounding leader, earning a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards.
The start of the game was par for the course for the Regents. They came out cold from the field, and went back and forth with Dominican through much of the first half.
The Stars held the lead for about 12 minutes in the first half even though they didn't shoot the ball well. Rockford was able to wrestle the lead away late in the period and take a 28-26 lead going into the half.
In the second half, the Regents fired out of the gates and shot the ball very well as they were 9-14 from long range in the second half, as the shooting became contagious. Agee, Miller, and
Luke Stuckey all hit multiple shots from beyond the arc, and the Regents' last 15 points came from deep.
Dominican couldn't keep up with the shooting barrage, eventually falling by 17.
The Regents will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 17, vs. Marian University to cap off a double-header at 3:15 P.M. CST in the Seaver Center.
