ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference announced Wednesday morning that Rockford University junior center Te Simpson has been voted the NACC Women's Basketball Player of the Week. This is the first time in her career that Simpson has received a NACC weekly award. 

Simpson recorded two double-doubles, now making it 9 double-doubles on the season. On Wednesday at Dominican, she scored 20 points to go along with 11 rebounds. On Saturday in the victory over Marian, she scored 18 points and gathered a career-high 16 rebounds. For the week, she averaged 18.0 points on 60.9% shooting, 13.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.5 blocks. 

The RU women's basketball team will be back home tonight against St. Norbert College. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. CST in the Seaver Center.
