MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The Rockford University women's volleyball team fell to NACC opponent Milwaukee School of Engineering, 3-0, on Saturday afternoon (25-17, 25-16, 25-16).

MSOE opened the first set with a 9-0 run, but Rockford responded with a 5-1 stretch to cut the deficit to five. The Regents continued to battle, trimming the Raiders' lead to 17-14 before MSOE closed the set with a 6-1 run to take a 1-0 lead in the match.

Rockford started the second set strong, building a 5-2 advantage and holding the lead until MSOE moved in front, 11-10. The Raiders then used a 10-1 run to extend their lead to 20-12 and eventually take the set to go up 2-0.

The teams battled to a 4-4 tie early in the third set before MSOE pulled away with a 13-4 run. The Raiders extended their lead to 23-13, and Rockford scored three straight points on MSOE errors to cut the deficit to seven.
