ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference announced Tuesday morning that Rockford University junior goalkeeper
Wesley Pritzlaff has been named NACC Defensive Player of the Week. This is Pritzlaff's second NACC weekly honor of his career, with his first coming on Oct. 15, 2024, when he recorded a pair of shutouts during that week. He is the first Regent to earn a NACC weekly award this season and, following last week's honor, gives the program six goalkeepers to earn a NACC weekly award.
Pritzlaff anchored Rockford's defensive effort during a 1-0-1 week, making 17 total saves while facing 27 opponent shots across two matches. He posted a 0.50 goals-against average and a .944 save percentage to help the Regents secure a conference draw over St. Norbert College and win over Wisconsin Lutheran College. Pritzlaff was also part of a combined shutout against Wisconsin Lutheran College, missing just 49 seconds of game action.
The Rockford University men's soccer team will return home Wednesday, Oct. 7, against Benedictine University with a 7 p.m. kickoff.
