ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Rockford University men's basketball team fell to NACC conference opponent Milwaukee School of Engineering, 65-62, on Saturday.
Cooper Jackson had a double double for the Regents with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Adrian Agee also scored in double figures for the Regents with 11 points along with one rebound and one block.
Both MSOE and Rockford went back and forth and were tied at 21 at the 8:43 mark in the first half. The Regents then went on an 8-0 run, taking a 29-21 lead.
The Raiders did respond with a 17-0 run and lead at halftime 40-35.
In the second half, Rockford then regained the lead when
Cooper Jackson made a put back layup, which was part of a 15-2 run as the Regents built their lead up to 10, when they had a 57-47 lead with under 12 minutes remaining.
Unfortunately for the Regents, the Raiders clawed their way back into the game as they were able to draw fouls and get their way to the free throw line. MSOE ended up coming out on top, outscoring the Regents in the final 9:26 18-5 after Agee missed the game-tying three to potentially send it to overtime.
The Regents will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 18, at 7 p.m. CST when they will host NACC conference opponent, Illinois Tech on senior night.
