ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Rockford University women's basketball team fell to the Milwaukee School of Engineering Raiders on Saturday afternoon.
Te Simpson paced Rockford in scoring with 12 points. She added three assists which also led the team.
Theresa McCarver was active on the boards all day, finishing with 12 rebounds.
It was a struggle offensively for Rockford throughout the game, putting up nine points in the first quarter but just two in the second, heading into the half down 24.
No one besides Simpson could get into a rhythm for the Regents, who tried their best to fight back in the second half. Their best quarter came in the fourth when they put up 10 points. Unfortunately, it was too little, too late, as MSOE pulled off the victory 74-29.Â
The Regents will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 18, when they head to Chicago, Ill. to take on Illinois Tech at 7 p.m. CST.
