FOND DU LAC, Wis. -- The Rockford University men's basketball team fell to the Marian University Sabres, 74-67, on Saturday afternoon.
Jaden Bell put up 20 points to lead the Regents.
Cooper Jackson notched seven rebounds.

Kamren Hogan, and Jackson each tied for the lead with three assists.
Marian threw the first big punch of this game. Five minutes in they held a 16-6 lead.Â
Rockford stayed down 10 for a good chunk of the first half. Down 42-29, Hogan hit Bell for a layup on the final possession of the half to send Rockford into the break down 11.
Neither team shot the ball particularly well from deep. RU was 5-17 from beyond while the Sabres were 5-21.
The game got tight in the second half. Through the first nine minutes, Rockford put up a 16-7 run to pull within two. The Regents were eventually able to tie the game at 58 apiece off of an
Adrian Agee layup with 4:22 left.
Both teams traded buckets in crunch time. With a little over a minute left, Marian was able to get buckets on consecutive possessions to get some cushion. Multiple Sabres hit big free throws down the stretch to secure a 74-67 win over Rockford.
The Regents will return to action on Tuesday, Feb. 24, when they head up to De Pere, Wis. to face St. Norbert College in round one of the NACC Tournament.
