ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Rockford University baseball team defeated non-conference opponent Beloit College, 4-3, on Monday.
The Regents will return to action on Wednesday, March 25, to take on Illinois Institute of Technology in a NACC doubleheader at noon & 3 p.m. CDT at Regent Field.

Zach Duke went 2-for-3 while
Marcus Taylor totaled two RBIs in his only at-bat of the game.
Kadin Bergstrom and
Trent Lawrence each had one RBI.
Five pitchers got action on the hill for the Regents.
Hunter Pavia got the start with three innings of work.
Kyle Koerner stepped on the mound in the fourth working two innings allowing one run off two hits, and striking one batter out.
Nick Rich entered the game in the sixth giving up four hits, two runs, and punched out one batter. In the seventh,
Carson Ritchie gave up no runs working one scoreless frame.
Sidney Atkins sealed the deal on the hill for the Regents and got the win working the last two scoreless frames allowing one hit and forcing three strikeouts.
Bergstrom recorded a sacrifice fly in the third inning to put Rockford ahead 1-0.
After two scoreless frames, Beloit plated one run off a walk with the bases loaded to tie the game at one after five innings.
The Buccaneers pulled ahead 3-1 scoring two runs in the sixth with an RBI single and another walk with the bases loaded to go up 3-1.
Rockford scored three runs in the eighth started off with an RBI double down the left field line from Lawrence. Taylor then stepped up to the plate the very next at-bat and recorded a two-RBI double to shortstop to put the Regents ahead 4-3.
A line out to second base secured the first out for the Regents in the final inning. The second out came due to a batter's interference, then Atkins forced a strikeout to secure the win.
