Mois and Scanlan Earn NACC Postseason Honors

ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Rockford University softball program had two players earn postseason honors from the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference on Thursday afternoon when the league announced its 2026 awards. Catcher Liz Mois earned Second Team All-NACC honors, while outfielder Tayiah Scanlan was named NACC Honorable Mention. Mois became Rockford's first First or Second Team All-NACC selection since Candace Kipp earned First Team honors in 2023.

Junior catcher Liz Mois was voted Second Team All-NACC. Mois made an immediate impact this year after transferring from Sauk Valley Community College. Mois ended the regular season ranked in the top 15 in nine statistical categories. She ranked third in OPS (1.220), 15th in hits (49), 11th in doubles (12), tied for second in triples (5), first in home runs (12), seventh in RBIs (35), second in total bases (107), second in slugging percentage (.817), and 15th in stolen bases (10). Nationally Mois tied for 11th in home runs, tied for 21st in total bases, and ranked 33rd in slugging percentage. 

Freshman outfielder Tayiah Scanlan was named NACC Honorable Mention. Scanlan had an impressive freshman season emerging as one of Rockford's top offensive threats during the 2026 season. Scanlan led the Regents with the highest batting average (.483) while appearing in 26 games with 22 starts. The outfielder totaled 29 hits in 60 at-bats and scored 21 runs. She added four doubles, two triples, and one home run while driving in 13 runs. She also showcased her speed on the bases, stealing 11 bases in 13 attempts.
