Sophomore defensive back Dylan Peterson (Reynolds, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending October 1, 2017. Peterson was a key part of a Rockford defense that forced four turnovers and kept a high-powered Benedictine offense in check on Saturday. He was all over the field and made multiple big plays in the game including ending three Eagle drives. He intercepted his first career pass, made a key tackle in the backfield on a fourth and one at the RU 20-yard line and recovered a fumble in the end zone late in the game to end another scoring threat. Peterson also recorded 9 tackles including 6 solo tackles and 1 tackle for loss.
