ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference announced Tuesday morning that Rockford University senior goalkeeper Jonathan Eduardo Rosales has been named the NACC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Rosales is the first RU men's soccer player to earn a NACC weekly award this season and is just the third Regent goalkeeper to be named NACC Defensive Player of the Week. 

Jonathan Eduardo Rosales earned a shutout victory over Concordia Wisconsin this past Saturday in his first appearance in goal this season. Rosales recorded seven saves, including stopping a CUW penalty kick late in the second half, to preserve Rockford's 2-0 win.

The RU men's soccer team returns to the field on Wednesday, October 6 against Concordia University Chicago. The match has a scheduled start time of 6 PM at Wedgbury Stadium.
