WHITEWATER, Wis. - The Rockford University women's volleyball team fell in straight sets on Saturday afternoon to both Blackburn College and Loras College. The Regents dropped the first match to the Beavers 25-17, 25-19, 25-17 and the second match 25-14, 25-11, 25-17 to the Duhawks.
Della Crain led the Regent offense with 13 kills over the two matches, while
Brynn Atwell finished with a team-high 34 digs.

Blackburn 3 Rockford 0
- Rockford held a 10-9 lead early in the first set following an Amelia Rodriquez kill.
- The two schools would go back and forth trading points until Blackburn grabbed a 16-14 lead.
- The Beavers then finished the set on a 9-3 run to take a 1-0 lead.
- The second set got off to a horrible start, with Rockford quickly falling behind 5-0 and then 10-5.
- However, the Regents answered with 6 straight points to take their first lead in the set. Taylor Sagen served the final five points, including smashing a pair of aces.
- The Regents and Beavers then traded points until Blackburn closed on a 7-2 run to win the second set and grab a 2-0 advantage.
- The Beavers again got off to a fast start in the third set with an early 9-3 lead.
- Fortunately, Rockford scored 9 of the next 11 points to jump back in front, 12-11. Della Crain led the Rockford attack with 3 kills over that span.
- Unfortunately, it was not meant to be, as Blackburn closed the set with a 12-2 run, to secure the win in straight sets.
Loras 3 Rockford 0
- The match opened with both Loras and Rockford going on early runs. Loras opened on a 5-1 spurt and the Regents responded by scoring the next 6 points to take a 7-5 lead.
- With the Regents now trailing 14-12, Loras closed the set on an 11-2 run and grabbed a 1-0 lead.
- The second set belonged to the Duhawks. Loras used an 11-1 run midway through to take a 20-8 advantage.
- The Duhawks scored 5 of the final 6 points en route to jumping out to a 2-0 lead.
- Despite being down 2-0, Rockford continued to fight and battle in the third and final set.
- After falling behind early, the Regents fought back and tied the score at both 6-6 and 8-8.
- Unfortunately, Loras scored 6 of the next 7 points to give the Duhawks a 14-9 advantage.
- Rockford was able to pull back within 3 on two separate occasions but ultimately dropped the set and consequently the match.

Blackburn
- Della Crain finished with a match-high 11 kills, 4 digs, 3 blocks and 1 ace.
- Melody Moreno added 6 kills and 11 digs.
- Jessica Witkowski finished with her first double-double of the season. She had a team-high 14 assists and 11 digs.
- Brynn Atwell tallied a season-high 20 digs.
