NAPLES, Fla. - The Rockford University softball team dropped a pair of games on Monday, 13-2 to Haverford College and 7-5 to Swarthmore College. The Fords scored in four of the five innings, including a seven-run fifth, for their second straight win against the Regents. Unfortunately, it was once again a big fifth inning in game two that ultimately did in the Regents. The Garnet scored five of their seven runs in the fifth, and then ultimately held on for the 7-5 win.

Haverford 13 Rockford 2 (5 Innings)
- Haverford scored a pair of runs off two RBI doubles in the top of the first.

- Unfortunately, the Fords scored the next 11 runs, including seven in the fifth inning, to take a commanding 13-1 lead.
- The Regents added a single run in their half of the fifth on a Candace Kipp hit by pitch; unfortunately, it was not enough, as Rockford dropped its first game of the day 13-2.
Swarthmore 7 Rockford 5
- Rockford broke the scoreless tie with two runs in the top of the second inning. Isabella Intravaia singled in the frame, and subsequently, the Regents took advantage of a costly Swarthmore error to score both of their runs.
- Rockford then added a single run in the top of the third, thanks to three walks and an error, which extended their lead to 3-0.
- Unfortunately, Swarthmore strung together six straight two-out hits in the bottom of the third to take its first lead of the game at 5-3.
- The score remained unchanged until the Garnet tacked on a single run in the fifth, which pushed their lead out to 6-3.
- The Regents would make things interesting with a two-run sixth to get back within a single run. Rockford had just one hit in the inning but capitalized on a costly error to make it 6-5
- However, the Garnet tacked on a run off two hits in the bottom of half of the frame, pushing their lead back to 7-5.
- Unfortunately, Rockford did not really threaten in the seventh and fell by a final score of 7-5.
