MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Rockford University softball team lost both of its games on Monday afternoon at MSOE. The Raiders were by far the most difficult team the Regents have played thus far this year, as MSOE was picked to finish second in the NACC this season and is also currently unbeaten in conference play. The Raiders never trailed in either of the two games, winning the opener 5-0 and the nightcap 13-1.

MSOE 5 Rockford 0
- MSOE jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. The Raiders tallied three hits in the frame, including back-to-back RBI doubles, to score the two runs.
- The Raiders added a single run in the third off three more hits and made it a 3-0 game.
- Rockford did have chances to cut into the deficit in both the third and fifth innings. The Regents had runners on first and second with two outs in the third and runners on second and third with two outs in the fifth, but unfortunately, struck out to end the threat both times.
- MSOE would essentially put the game out of reach with two more runs in the bottom of the fifth. The Raiders tallied four straight hits in the frame, to drive in two, and extending their lead to 5-0.
- The Regents had one final opportunity to cut into the Raider lead in the top of the seventh. Rockford put runners on second and third with only one out following a walk and a Kariana Williams double. Unfortunately, the Raiders retired the next two batters to end the threat and secure the 5-0 win.
MSOE 13 Rockford 1
- Game two got off to a rocky start for the Regents. MSOE scored the first five runs of the game, two in the first and second and one more in the third, to grab a commanding 5-0 lead.
- The Regents were however able to slightly chip away at the deficit in top of the fourth. Jocelyn Callahan got things started with a one-out single and then stole second to put herself in scoring position. Two batters later, Lauren Zielinski singled in Callahan to make it a 5-1 game.
- Unfortunately, the Raiders scored eight runs off nine hits in the bottom half of the inning en route to securing a 13-1 win.
