BELOIT, Wis. - The Rockford University baseball team dropped both its games to the Marian University Sabres on Saturday afternoon. Marian was regularly on top all afternoon, leading the Regents in game one and pulling away late, winning 13-5. Marian kept its momentum going in game two, winning 15-1 in seven innings.

- Marian scored to lead off the game with two runs in the first inning.
- After another Marian run in the second, Rockford got on the board thanks to a two-run homer by Jared Herzog to make the score 3-2.
- Marian added three more runs in the third and fourth innings to extend the lead to 6-2.
- The Regents stepped up in the bottom of the fifth and scored a pair of runs to cut the deficit to 6-4. A Jake Bilotta single and a pair of errors gave the Regents both runs.
- Marian controlled the remainder of the game, adding seven more runs in the next three innings to hold a 13-4 lead.
- Rockford added one more run in the bottom of the eighth on a Jared Herzog single but wouldn't score again as the Sabres took the game one victory 13-5.

- Marian jumped out in front to a 9-0 lead in the first inning.
- After Marian added another two runs to make it 11-0, Rockford got on the board with a Jonathan Leon single that scored Jake Bilotta.
- Marian added four more runs in the fourth and fifth innings to take a 15-1 lead.
- The Sabres held the Regents in check until the third out in the seventh inning, forcing the run rule, and taking game two and the sweep over the Regents 15-1.
