ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University men's soccer team fell 3-0 to the Dominican University Stars in a Tuesday afternoon conference meeting. The Stars were in control of the match, holding a 13-3 advantage in shots, including a 5-0 advantage in shots on goal. Dominican was able to capitalize on two penalty goals within the first 20 minutes of the match, giving the Stars an early 2-0 advantage that they eventually took into the half. Rockford struggled to get things going on the offensive end and The Stars were able to add to their lead in the 66th minute to make it a 3-0 game. Dominican was able to hold off Rockford for the remainder of the match and walk away with the 3-0 win.
- The Regents got an early opportunity with a shot by Sebastian Herrera in the 2nd minute, but unfortunately, his attempt went wide.
- The Stars got a pair of goals on the board in the 17th and 19th minutes after penalty goals by Dylan Alic and John Cronnolly to give Dominican the early 2-0 advantage.
- Neither team was able to get anything going for the remainder of the half, and the Stars held a 2-0 lead at the halfway point.
- Rockford threatened to cut the Dominican lead in half with a shot by Abraham Gonzalez in the 52nd minute, but his try went wide, keeping the Regents scoreless.
- The Stars added to their lead with a goal in the 66th minute after Narcizo Ibarra-Rodriguez found John Cronnolly for his second goal of the match, making it a 3-0 lead.
