ROCKFORD, Ill. - Rockford University sophomore first baseman Kadin Bergstrom has been named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week. Bergstrom becomes the first Regent baseball player to be named to the D3baseball.com Team of the Week since 2022 and the only first baseman in program history to receive the honor. 

Kadin Bergstrom had a trio of multi-hit games including a pair of three-hit performances and homered in all four games to extend his streak to five straight games with a home run. Bergstrom finished 6-for-9 with 3 home runs, a double, 6 RBIs and 6 runs scored in Rockford's sweep over Wisconsin Lutheran. He then went 3-for-7 with 2 more home runs, 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored at Concordia Wisconsin. For the week he hit .563, slugged 1.563, had 5 home runs, a double, 8 RBIs and 8 runs scored.

The RU baseball team begins a streak of five straight home games on Wednesday, April 17 against Concordia University Chicago. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 2 PM at Pohlman Field.
