APPLETON, Wis. - The Rockford Univesity women's volleyball team picked up two more huge wins on road Friday night to improve its record to 4-1 this season. Rockford began its day with an impressive 3-0 (25-11, 25-23, 25-17) win against Mount Mary and then defeated host Lawrence Univesity in four sets (25-27, 25-23, 25-18, 25-22). The Regents absolutely dominated the Blue Angels in the opening match. Rockford had 35 kills compared to just 21 for the Blue Angels and had nine less attack errors. The second match against the Vikings was a lot more competitive. The biggest difference in the match was the Regents' ability to play a relatively clean game and limit their errors. Rockford had just eight attack errors the entire match, compared to 31 for the Vikings. This led to a .276 hitting percentage for Rockford and a .181 hitting percentage for Lawrence.

Rockford 3 Mount Mary 0
- Rockford scored the first six points in the opening set and never looked back. Those six points were part of a larger 20-2 run to open the match.Â
- The Regents had 12 kills in the set led by 4 kills each from Madisen Perry and Tamsy Leverton.Â
- Although the Blue Angels slightly cut into Rockford's led, the Regents took the opening set easily 25-11.
- However, the Regents came out sluggish in the next set and fell behind 13-6.Â
- With Mount Mary still leading by seven at 22-15, Rockford scored the next 9 points to take their first lead of the set at 24-22. Tamsy Leverton and Keara Ross led the offensive attack with 3 kills and 2 service aces respectively.Â
- After the Blue Angels scored the next point to pull back within a single point, Rockford's Madisen Perry ended the set with a kill to give her team a 2-0 advantage.Â
- The third set went back and forth early on with each team leading during the first 20 points.Â
- With Rockford holding a two-point lead at 12-10, the Regents scored the next five points to take the largest lead in the set thus far for either team. Melody Moreno led the charge with a pair of kills over that span.Â
- Rockford did not relinquish the lead the remainder of the way and went on to win the set 25-17 and the match 3-0.
Rockford 3Â Lawrence 1
- Rockford scored the first six points of the match and eventually jumped out to a quick 12-5 lead. The Regents were led by a pair of aces by Leila Cooks and two kills by Madisen Perry.Â
- However, the Vikings answered right back with a 10-3 run of their own to knot the score at 15-15.Â
- With the set now tied at 23-23, Rockford scored two of the next three points, capped off by a Jasmine Landberg ace, to take a 25-24 lead and grab its first set point of the match.Â
- Unfortunately, the Regents had a total of three set points spoiled by the Vikings, before Lawrence ran off the final three points to win the opening set 29-27.
- The second set was extremely close from start to finish. There were a total of nine ties and neither team led by more than four points.Â
- The largest lead for either team came midway through after Lawrence used a 6-0 run to take a 14-10 lead.Â
- Rockford responded with a 5-1 run of its own, capped off by a Madisen Perry kill, to tie the score at 15-15.Â
- With Rockford now trailing 19-18, the Regents scored the next four points to take a 22-19 lead.
- The Regents never trailed the rest of the way and took the second set 25-23 on a Ashley Miller kill.Â
- The third set was also very close, especially in the early moments. There were a total of nine ties over the first 22 points of the set, including at 11-11.Â
- Fortunately, Rockford proceeded to score seven of the next eight points to snag an 18-12 lead.Â
- After Lawrence briefly cut it down to three at 21-18, the Regents scored the final four points of the set, including a Madisen Perry kill to win the set 25-18.
- The fourth and final set went back and forth the entire way, as neither team ever led by more than three points.Â
- There were a total of 16 ties and seven lead changes throughout the set.Â
- Lawrence's largest lead came after a 3-0 run gave the Vikings a 19-16 advantage.Â
- Rockford answered right back with a 5-1 run of its own to retake the lead at 21-20. Leila Cooks tallied the final two kills over that span.Â
- After the Vikings briefly retook the lead at 22-21, Rockford scored the final four points, capped off by a Savannah Crooks kill, to win the set 25-22 and the match 3-1.

Mount Mary
- Tamsy Leverton finished with a match-high 10 kills on a .588 hitting percentage. She also had 3 digs, 1 block and 1 assist.
- Madisen Perry tallied 8 kills, 7 digs and an assist.
- Melody Moreno added 6 kills, a team-high 13 digs, 2 aces and an assist.Â
Lawrence
- Madisen Perry was outstanding yet again. Perry had a team-high 15 kills on just 21 attack attempts for a .667 hitting percentage. She also had 5Â digs in the match.Â
- Tamsy Leverton also had second excellent match of the day. Leverton tallied 9 kills and a .500 hitting percentage. She added 2 digs, a block and an assist to her totals.Â
- Jasmine Landberg led the Regents with 13 digs, 4 assists and 3 aces.
- Leila Cooks had 16 assists, 9 digs, 4 kills and 2 aces.
- Savannah Crooks added 16 assists, 4 digs, a kill and a block.
