Krueger, Lima and Williams Selected NACC Honorable Mention

ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University softball program had a trio of players honored by the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference on Monday afternoon when the NACC released its 2025 postseason awards. Infielder Chayton Krueger, pitcher/outfielder Bella Lima and pitcher/outfielder Kariana Williams were all named NACC Honorable Mention. This is Rockford's most NACC postseason awards in a single year since the 2021 season, and it is also the fourth time in the last five years that the Regents have had multiple players recognized by the conference. 

Senior pitcher and outfielder Bella Lima was selected NACC Honorable Mention. This is the first time that she has received a postseason award from the conference. Lima had by far her best season inside the circle and was also a key part of the Regent lineup. When the all-conference awards were voted on, Lima ranked in the top fifteen in the NACC in twelve different categories. Offensively, she ranked fifth in triples (5) and thirteenth in stolen bases (9). Inside the circle, Lima was sixth in wins (9), starts (18) and strikeouts looking (20), seventh in complete games (9) and batting average against (.267), eighth in innings pitched (102.2) and earned run average (2.80), twelfth in strikeouts (47) and shutouts (2) and fourteenth in fewest earned runs allowed (41). Additionally, Lima was also one of only two Regent softball players selected as the conference player of the week this year. Lima was voted the NACC Softball Pitcher of the Week during the fourth week of the 2025 season. 

Senior pitcher and outfielder Kariana Williams was voted NACC Honorable Mention for the second straight season. Williams was once again one of the top two pitchers on the Regents' staff, anchored down the middle of the RU lineup and was outstanding in center field. Williams was ranked in the top fifteen in the conference in nine categories at the time the all-conference awards were selected. She was fourth in the NACC in strikeouts (73), fifth in complete games (13) and innings pitched (118.1), sixth in wins (9), ninth in batting average against (.275), tenth in starts (17), eleventh in strikeouts looking (15), twelfth in earned run average (3.19) and was also fourteenth in the conference offensively in at bats (125). Williams also tied school record for innings pitched in a game (10.0).

Senior second baseman Chayton Krueger was voted NACC Honorable Mention. This marks the first time in her collegiate career that she has received a postseason award from the NACC. Krueger had by far the best year of her career, starting in 36 games and setting career-highs by a wide margin in basically every offensive category. She finished the year with a .360 batting average, a .408 on-base percentage, a .532 slugging percentage and had a sparking .948 fielding percentage. Krueger had 40 hits, including 7 doubles and 6 triples, 21 runs scored, 21 RBIs, 9 walks and 5 stolen bases. Additionally, Krueger led the NACC was ranked twenty-second among all NCAA Division III softball players in triples and thirty-fifth in triples per game (0.16). She also tied the RU record for triples in a game (2).
