ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University softball program had a pair of players named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators (CSC), formally CoSIDA, this morning. The 2024-25 CSC All-District teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom.
In order to even be eligible to be considered for CSC Academic All-District status, student-athletes must meet a rigorous set of criteria. The student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher at his or her current institution and must participate in at least 90% of the team's games or start in at least 66% of the team's games. Pitchers need to have made a minimum of 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.
