RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- The Rockford University men's volleyball team took on the Dominican University Stars on Saturday morning.
Jordan Hurst once again led the team in kills with six.
Tsubasa Namai did what he normally does, piling up 15 assists.
Jacob Brewster led the team with 9 digs.
Dominican wasted no time in the first set. They had control from the get-go and won it 25-10.
The second set was much better for the Regents. They stayed in it for a while, riding multiple Hurst kills to an 11-9 deficit. They kept it close until the Stars finished the set with a 5-0 run to win 25-16.
The third set saw Dominican jump out to an 8-2 lead. They continued piling it on, leading 20-10 before three consecutive Rockford points. The Stars would complete the sweep 25-16.
The Regents return to action at 1 p.m. CST when they face University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in the final game of the Dominican Triangular.
