LISLE, Ill. -- The Rockford University men's volleyball team dropped a NACC match to Benedictine University, 3-0, on Wednesday. Set scores were 25-4, 25-10, 25-9.
Jordan Hurst and
Tucker Loegler Haig led the Regents in kills with three each.
PJ Peden made seven assists.
Defensively, Hurst led the team in digs and blocks with five and two, respectively.
It was a 5-2 start for Benedictine, with kills from
Carter Moore and Hurst for the Regents in the early stretch. The Eagles then exploded and proceeded to go on a 17-0 run, as the Regents only planted two more kills from Bowling and Hurst the remainder of the set.
The momentum continued for Benedictine in the second set, starting with a 17-4 run. The Eagles then made six errors but were able to hang on to win the second set.
In the third and final set, Benedictine continued its dominance as the Regents were never able to take the lead.
The Regents will return to action on Saturday, March 21, when they will face NACC conference opponent Marian University at 7 p.m. CDT.
