MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The Rockford University women's track & field team competed at the Warrior Invitational on Saturday and placed fourth.
Mariah Williams ran the 100m race in 13.36 to place eighth.Â
Courtney Murphy and
Donna Whiteside both ran the 800m. Murphy clocked in at 2:50.87 to place 14th while Whiteside placed 21st with a time of 3:05.19.Â
Murphy also ran the 1500m and finished 22nd with a time of 5:40.43.Â
In the 400m hurdles
Isabella Trout placed fourth clocking in at 1:21.94.Â
Haylee West edged out Sylvia Walentowski from Wisconsin Lutheran College to place first in the 3000m steeplechase, with a time of 13:48.93.Â
Trout, Mersch, Whiteside, and
Brianna Torres all ran the 4X400 relay and finished sixth, clocking in at 4:57.56.Â
In the field events,
Mariah Williams and
Ella Oldham both competed in the Long Jump. Williams finished seventh overall with a jump of 4.65m (15-3.25). Oldham jumped 3.80m (12-5.75) and placed 11th.Â
Ashley Mersch once again broke the Discus record which was her own record that she set on Friday, April 10 at the Beloit Relays. Mersch won the event outright with a throw of 38.95m (127-9). In the Javelin, Mersch finished eighth with a throw of 20.10m (65-11)
The Regents will return to action on Friday, April 24, when they go to UW-Whitewater for the Drake Alternative.
