ROCK ISLAND, Ill. -- Rockford University women's outdoor track and field student-athlete Ashley Mersch competed in the discus on Thursday at the Augustana Midwest Twilight Qualifier.

Mersch recorded a throw of 44.03m (144-5) to place second in the event.

The freshman concluded the outdoor season ranked 29th nationally in the discus, narrowly missing qualification for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships.

The Augustana Midwest Twilight Qualifier wrapped up the 2026 outdoor campaign for Rockford University women's outdoor track and field. Thank you to everyone who supported throughout the indoor and outdoor seasons.
