ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference announced Tuesday morning that Rockford University sophomore
Logan Koeller has been named NACC Baseball Pitcher of the Week. This is Koeller's first NACC weekly award and the program's third NACC weekly honor of the season.
Koeller turned in a dominant outing at Lakeland University on Saturday, tossing eight scoreless innings while allowing just two hits in a 4-0 win. He struck out 11 and walked three, holding opponents to a .077 batting average while facing 30 batters. Koeller recorded nine flyouts and three groundouts in the effort. He has now been a part of a combined no-hitter, one-hitter, and two-hitter this season.
The RU baseball team will be back in action today, April 28, for a NACC doubleheader at Benedictine University with the first pitch set for 2 p.m. CDT.
