ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Rockford University baseball team qualified for the NACC Tournament for the third straight season and for the 11th time in program history. The Regents' 11 NACC Tournament appearances are the fifth most of any team in the conference. Rockford tied for sixth place in the 2026 NACC standings for the second consecutive season and will be the sixth seed, taking on the seventh-seeded Edgewood University Eagles, who will be making their 10th appearance. The Regents and Eagles will square off in an elimination game on Wednesday, May 6, at 3 p.m. CDT at Jim Schmid Field in Montgomery, Ill. If Rockford wins, the Regents will advance to play either #3 Concordia University Chicago at 10 a.m. CDT or #4 Illinois Tech at 1 p.m. CDT on Thursday, May 7, in the opening round of the six-team double-elimination tournament, where all games will be played at Benedictine University. Rockford enters the week as one of only five teams (Aurora -7, Concordia Chicago -6, MSOE -2, Rockford -2, and Benedictine -1) to have ever won the NACC Tournament.
