ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Rockford University athletic department held its annual awards ceremony, "The Reggies", on Tuesday evening to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of its student-athletes over the past year. During the ceremony, student-athletes were honored for their achievements both academically and athletically. The entire list of awards can be seen below.

Academic Awards:
President's Cup (Awarded to the team with the highest GPA for the 2025-26 academic year)
Dr. Hans Wolpe Awards (Awarded to the student-athlete with the highest GPA)
Athletic Director's Honor Roll (171 total student-athletes)
Chi Alpha Sigma National Athletics Honor Society (Awarded to juniors and seniors with a 3.4 or higher cumulative GPA)

Moment of the Year
- Kadin Bergstrom breaking the home run record with his 34th in the 7-2 win vs. Aurora on April 14.
Play of the Year
- Trent Lawrence's two-run home run vs. Edgewood University in the ninth inning to put the Regents ahead 7-5 to give the Regents a key conference win..
Game of the Year
- Men's Basketball trailing by 13 points in the second half to defeat Marian, outscoring the Sabres by 24 to win 74-63 and winning the second half 45-23.
Other Awards:
Margaret and Jack Oshita Awards (Presented to a student-athlete with the highest standard of team sportsmanship and spirit)
Battle for the Crown (Current top 10 standings prior to spring sport athletic awards and spring semester academic awards)
- Teams were awarded points based on athletic and academic awards, community service and attending athletic events. Final results will be tabulated over the summer and the winner will be announced at a later date.
