Senior pitcher Daryn Streed (Belvidere, Ill./North) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending March 24, 2013. Streed was excellent on the mound in his only start of the week picking up the win at #2 Trinity University (Tex.). Streed threw eight shutout innings surrendering just 3 hits while striking out 7 and walking none. He twice retired at least 7 consecutive batters including sitting down the final 15 batters he faced.
