Box Score ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Regents women's volleyball team (2-18, 0-8 NACC) lost all 3 sets to a hard-hitting Wisconsin Lutheran College (7-10, 4-2 NACC) on Friday night. It was a tough first two sets as runs by WLC put them down repeatedly. They would start out leading all 3 sets but were unable to close any of them, falling behind and eventually losing 3-0.




First Set

• Rockford would play a balanced game until the score of 9-7, Rockford leading. Aces from Casey Sheetz and Caitlin Hicks helped the Regents on the scoreboard.
• Wisconsin Lutheran would then jump ahead with 8 straight points to make the score to 15-9.
• Rockford would only fall further and further behind as Wisconsin Lutheran would close out the set 25-16. Caitlin Hicks had a second ace amongst the Regents points at the end of the set.

Second Set

• Rockford would start out in front, going ahead 6-4. But it would not last, as the Warriors put up 12 consecutive points to take a very strong lead 16-6.
• Wisconsin Lutheran would get 9 of the next 14 points to take the set 25-11.

Third Set

• Rockford started the third set ahead 8-6, Casey Sheetz contributing another ace for the Regents.
• Wisconsin Lutheran would score the next 7 points and take the lead once again.
• Rockford would keep pace with the Warriors after, but they were unable to get the lead back before WLC would close the door and take the third and final set 25-20.

• Della Crain had 11 kills to lead the Regents.
• Brynn Atwell had 20 digs, leading the team.
• Jessica Witkowski had 9 assists.
• Casey Sheetz and Caitlin Hicks each had a pair of service aces.

The RU women's volleyball team will be hosting a pair of teams on October 16th. Games are set for 4:30, 6:30, and 8:30, with Rockford playing in the first and third matches. The team will celebrate its Seniors in the third match of the night at 8:30.
