10/30/2021 1:43:00 PM

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's volleyball team (6-22) carried their 2-0 record into the second day of the RU Invitational, but they would be heavily challenged. Their first match of the day was against an opponent Rockford beat 3-0 earlier in the year, this time the Regents would not be so lucky. Maranatha Baptist jumped out to a two-set lead, despite the Regents nearly pulling off the comeback in the first set. Rockford would dominate in the third set to keep the game in hand but then went on to lose in the fourth set to Maranatha, dropping their first match 3-1. The Regents faced conference foe Marian for the final game of the RU Invitational. Falling behind 2-0 again in this match, they played a strong third set, but unfortunately came up short, losing the third set in a close 26-24 match. The Regents finished out 0-2 on their second day of competition.
