ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's volleyball team dropped its season finale 3-1 to the visiting MSOE Raiders in a Thursday night matchup. MSOE was slightly able to edge out the Regents in every category, leading in kills (55-49), blocks (9-7), assists (47-42) and digs (80-70). Rockford was able to lead in aces (3-1) and actually take the first set (25-17), but the Raiders won three sets in a row (25-13), (25-19), and (25-22) and took the match 3-1. The Regents finished the season with a record of 7-16 and 2-11 in the NACC, and finished 13th in the NACC standings.
- The first set started out even 10-10 after the Regents crawled back from down 6-1, they got help from 2 kills by Amelia Rodriguez and Melody Moreno, and 1 by Amelia Rodriguez.
- The Regents were able to bring the set to a 18-17 lead and get 7 straight scores to take the first set 25-17.
- MSOE got out to a 14-7 lead to start the second set, with the Regents getting 2 more kills from Amelia Rodriguez and 1 by Melody Moreno.
- The Raiders were able to go on a 11-6 run over the Regents and take the second set 25-13 and tie the match up 1-1.
- The Raiders found themselves up 10-3 to start the third set.
- The Regents battled back to a 15-10 score with help coming from 2 kills by Alexis Brashaw.
- The Raiders were able to take care of business and take the third set 25-19 and go up 2-1 in the match.
- The fourth set go out to a 10-10 tie with the Regents getting 2 kills by Melody Moreno and Amelia Rodriguez.
- This set remained close up to the very last points with the Raiders leading 22-20.
- The Regents did threaten with 2 points of their own, but it was not enough and the Raiders took the third set 25-22 and won the match 3-1.
