ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's volleyball team dropped three straight sets to the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons in what was a tough overall match for the Regents. The Falcons would keep control of the match from the get go. Concordia Wisconsin outperformed Rockford in kills (37-7), in aces (12-5), in blocks (9-0), assists (33-7), and also digs (43-32), in what led to a 3-0 match victory for the Falcons.
- The Regents and Falcons got out to a somewhat back and forth start with each team trading points, making the score 3-2 Falcons early in the first set.
- Concordia Wisconsin went on a 5-0 run in the set to give them an 11-3 lead that included 2 aces by Abby Proefrock for the Falcons.
- The Regents were unable to come back in the first set after the Falcons would go on a 14-6 run to win the first set 25-9
- Concordia Wisconsin would start out the second set hot with a 5-0 start backed behind 2 kills by Maycee Karpinger.
- The Regents tacked on a few points with kills from Tamsy Leverton and Grace Vyborny, but would ultimately drop the second set 25-11 in another tough set for the Regents.
- The third set was more of a back and forth battle with this set starting out 5-5, Regents got a kill from Melody Moreno and an ace by Brynn Atwell, during this first part of set three.
- This set would remain back and forth, with the Regents actually getting out to a 14-11 lead on a 9-6 run, off of multiple errors by the Falcons and an ace by Leila Cooks.
- Concordia Wisconsin ended up going on a 14-2 run late in the third set, which would end the third set 25-16, giving the Falcons the win in three sets.
