ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's soccer team fell 2-0 to the Concordia University Wisconsin Falcons in a Saturday afternoon NACC meeting with the 1st place Falcons. The Falcons were able to take a 22-5 advantage in shots, including a 9-2 advantage in shots on goal, but the Regents held a 7-2 advantage in saves. The Falcons were able to score in the 23rd and 77th minutes of the match and Rockford had a tough time breaking through the CUW defense. This would be all that the Falcons needed as they were able to hold off the Regents and take the victory.
- The Regents threatened to take the early 1-0 lead with a shot on goal in the 19th minute by Daisy Martinez, but unfortunately her shot was saved by the Falcon keeper.
- CUW was able to break the scoreless tie in the 23rd minute after a free kick for the Falcons turned into a goal by Bella Rapp to give the Falcons the advantage.
- Rockford was able to fire two more shots, one by Peyton Scott and one by Jasmine Landberg, but neither of their attempts found the back of the net, keeping it a 1-0 Falcon lead going into the half.
- The second half started as a battle with neither team able to get anything going on the offensive side until CUW was able to double its lead with a goal in the 77th minute. The goal came from a Bella Rapp pass that found Isabella Wentorf for the Falcon's score to make it a 2-0 lead.
- Rockford was able to tally one more shot by Mia Ostler before the end of the match, but her shot was unsuccessful, and the Falcons were able to hold on for the 2-0 victory.
