MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The Rockford University women's volleyball team fell 3-0 to NACC conference opponent, Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday. Set scores were 25-16, 25-15, 25-21.
Ashley Miller led RU offensively with seven kills while
Isabella Valdes had 10 assists.
Defensively,
Keara Ross led the way with nine digs while Miller and
Leila Cooks each had seven respectively.
The Warriors took the first set and led the entire way. In the second, the regents had a 5-3 lead before giving up a 7-0 run and was outscored 22-10 the rest of the set.
In the third, the Regents went on a run of their own. After trailing the entire set, the Regents grabbed the lead when they went on an 11-5 run after trailing 12-7 to take the lead 18-17. From there, the Warriors rallied, outscoring the Regents 7-3 to take the match.
The Regents will return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 7, with a 7 p.m. CDT match at Knox College.
