RIPON, Wis. -- The Rockford University men's indoor track & field team competed at the NACC Championships on both Friday and Saturday.
Day One
On the track,
Marquavion Young and
Nahome Zere ran in the preliminaries with times of 7.90 and 7.99, respectively. Young placed 42nd while Zere finished one back at 43rd individually.
In the Medley,
James Wallis,
Gavin Collier,
Miles Lang, and
Nicholas Greenland clocked in at 11:30.81.
In the field events,
Amro Shammakh jumped 12.59m (31-0.375) to place 11th.
Day Two
In the 400 Meter Dash, Collier led the Regents placing 15th, finishing in 55.11.
Jack Potter finished in 20th with a time of 56.28,
Marquavion Young, recorded his season-best by .37 seconds clocking in at 57.02 to place 22nd, and Zere finished in 59.46, placing 27th.
Miles Lang competed in the 800 Meter Run, and finished in 2:06.83 to finish in 20th place, for his fastest time of the season in the 800.
In the 200 Meter Dash,
Gavin Collier placed 32nd with a time of 24.89 to mark his season-best.
Greenland finished in 15th place with his best performance of the season with a time of 9:38.52.
Young, Potter, Lang, and Collier ran the 4X400 Meter Relay and finished in ninth place overall, clocking in at 3:44.13.
In the field events for the second day, Potter competed in the High Jump with a jump of 1.75m (5-08.75) to finish 13th.
Anthony Joyner finished fifth overall recording his best throw of the season with a throw of 13.67m (44-10.25).
Shammakh rounded out the field events for the Regents, breaking his own record in the Long Jump with a jump of 6.71m (22-00.25) to finish in fifth place.
That concludes the Regents' indoor season. They will return to action on Saturday, Mar. 28, with the St. Norbert Early Bird Meet in De Pere, Wis.
