Men's Track & Field Compete at the Warrior Invitational

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The Rockford University men's track & field team competed at the Warrior Invitational on Saturday. The Regents finished eighth overall, competing against opponents that included Concordia Chicago, Wisconsin Lutheran, and Marquette.

Gavin Collier ran both the 100m and 200m dashes. He PRed in both, putting up times of 11.94 and 24.58.

Jack Potter and Marquavion Young each competed in the 200m as well. Potter finished right behind Collier at 24.95, while Young finished in 25.62.

Young also competed in the 400m, running a season best time of 57.12.

Nahome Zere was the other Regent to compete in the short sprints, running a 12.76 in the 100m. He also participated in the long jump, recording a leap of 5.34m (17-06.25).

Miles Lang ran his best 800m yet, finishing eighth with a time of 2:01.57.

James Wallis and Troy Niles each ran the 1500m, crossing the finish line in 4:38.17 and 5:00.66, respectively. That time set a new PR for Niles.

The only Regent to run the 5000m was Nicholas Greenland. He ran a personal best 16:42.54 to finish eighth.

The 4x400 relay team consisted of Young, Collier, Potter, and Zere. They placed fifth with a 3:47.20 time.

The Regents will return to action on Friday, April 24, when they go to UW-Whitewater for the Drake Alternative.
