RIVER FOREST, Ill. -- The second game between Rockford University and Concordia University Chicago which took place on Monday, April 6 has now been officially counted as a Rockford victory. The Regents won 11-8 in six innings.
The Regents are back in action on Thursday, April 9, when they will face Marian University in a NACC doubleheader on the road starting at 2 p.m. CDT.

Tayiah Scanlan had a team-high three hits going 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBIs.
Makayla Howard went 2-for-3 at the plate with a homerun and a team-high five RBIs.
Sophia Hulsey and
Payton Willenkamp also went yard for the Regents as Hulsey batted 2-for-3 with three RBIs, and Willenkamp's lone hit came off her homer to go 1-for-2.
Lorelei Monk got the start in the circle working two and one-third innings giving up three earned runs off of four hits.
Claire Shanahan came in for Monk in the bottom of the third and threw the rest of the game with three and two-third innings of work and was credited with the win. Shanahan gave up five runs off eight hits with one strikeout.
Rockford plated six runs in the first as Hulsey was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded as the Regents plated the first run of the game. Howard then homered to left center, followed by Scanlan's single to center field as the Regents led 6-0 at the end of the first. CUC scored one run in the second off a wild pitch in the bottom of the first.
Howard matched the CUC run in the second with an RBI single to right field to put Rockford back up by six, 7-1.
Both offenses then slowed down with two scoreless frames until the Cougars put a three-run third inning with two RBI doubles both to center field, capped off by an RBI single as the Regent lead was cut to three, 7-4.
In the first at-bat in the fourth for the Regents, Willenkamp homered to center field and Scanlan tallied an RBI double to left field as the Regents plated two runs in the fourth to extend their lead to 9-4.
In the bottom of the fourth, the Regents retired the side in order. Hulsey then launched a two-RBI homer to left field in the fifth as the Regents led 11-4 and did not score the remainder of the game.
The Cougars made the game interesting scoring two runs in the fifth and going yard in the sixth with a two-RBI homerun, but were unable to comeback as the Regents split with the Cougars.
