ROCKFORD, Ill - The Regents took a tough loss 3-0 to the visiting Benedictine University Eagles in this Thursday night conference matchup. The Eagles controlled the entire match leading in kills (48-25), aces (10-0), assists (46-23) and digs (66-62). The Regents struggled to get things going and dropped the first 3 sets (25-15), (25-18), (25-16) and loss the match 3-0 to the Eagles.
- The first set started out even getting out to a 9-9 score with the Regents getting help from 1 kill each from Melody Moreno and Amelia Rodriguez.
- The Eagles went on a 16-6 run over the Regents and took the first set 25-16.
- This set also started out back and forth with the score getting out to a 6-6 affair with the Regents getting 2 kills from Tamsy Leverton and Alexis Brashaw and 1 from Melody Moreno.
- This set found its way to 17-14 with the Regents getting help from a Grace Vyborny and Alexis Brashaw kill.
- The Eagles were able to end up taking the second set from the Regents 25-18 and go up 2-0 in the match.
- The Eagles got out to a 15-6 lead to start out the third set.
- The Regents found their way creeping back into the set getting it to 16-12 with some help from 2 kills by Amelia Rodriguez and 1 Alexx Burton, Tamsy Leverton, and Melody Moreno.
- Benedictine went on a 9-4 run to finish set 3 with a score of 25-16 and take the overall match 3-0.
