ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University Regents dropped a match 3-0 to the visiting St. Norbert College Green Knights in this Saturday afternoon volleyball match. St. Norbert lead in a majority of statistics leading in kills (42-26), blocks (10-5), assists (40-26), and digs (55-48), but the Regents lead in aces (6-5). The Regents found it tough to get it going against the Green Knights and took the loss 3-0.
- The Green Knights got out to a 7-2 lead to start the first set.
- The Regents were able to get kills from Grace Vyborny and Tamsy Leverton to bring the first set to 13-7 St. Norbert.
- Rockford got kills from Amelia Rodriguez, Alexis Brashaw and Melody Moreno, but the Green Knights were still able to take set 1 25-13.
- St. Norbert got out to a 9-0 start in the second set.
- The Regents were able to climb back to a 18-15 Green Knight lead, with the Regents getting help from 2 kills by Alexis Brashaw, Melody Moreno and 1 by Tamsy Leverton and Amelia Rodriguez.
- St. Norbert went on a 7-2 run to take the second set and go up 2-0 in the match.
- The Regents got out to a 10-6 start in the third set on 2 kills from Amelia Rodriguez and 1 from Alexx Burton, Alexis Brashaw, and Grace Vyborny.
- The Green Knights were able to take 15 of the next 28 points and take the third set from Rockford 25-19 and win the match over the Regents 3-0.
