APPLETON, Wis. - The Rockford University men's and women's cross country teams ran their best races of the season with nearly every single student-athlete setting a new personal record on Saturday at the Gene Davis Invitational.
Miles Lang highlighted that group by running the eighth fastest 8K time in program history (27:02.3). As a team, both the men and women finished in tenth place. Individually, there were a total of 133 participants in the women's race and 185 runners in the men's race.

Men's Results
- Miles Lang was the top performer for the Regents on Saturday. Lang ran the eighth fastest 8k time in school history and lowered his PR by over 1:30 when he crossed the finish line in 27:02.3. He finished the race in 44th place.
- James Wallis set a new PR in the 8k by almost 40 seconds. Wallis completed the race in 27:36.6 and finished in 67th place.
- JJ Newlin lowered his PR by almost 2 minutes on Saturday. Newlin finished in 147th place with a time of 30:41.4.
- Gavin Collier vanquished his personal best time by over 2:30 minutes. Collier crossed the finish line in 30:45.8 to place 148th.
- Christopher Duron Jr. lowered his season best time in the 8k by 6 minutes. Duron finished in 166th place with a time of 32:40.7.
Women's Results
- Brianna Torres led the RU women's team and lowered her PR in the 6k by nearly a minute. Torres finished in 55th place with a time of 25:58.0.
- Rebekah Starwalt finished in 57th place with a time of 25:59.1.
- Kieran Madigan lowered her PR by 8 minutes. Madigan came in 129th place and completed the 8k race in 35:48.1.
- Jennifer Ruesch set a new personal record by almost a minute and a half on Saturday. Ruesch crossed the finish line in 37:58.7 to place 132nd.
- Mia Cosentino crushed her previous PR in the 6k by 9 minutes. Cosentino finished in 133rd place with a time of 39:26.5.
