ROCKFORD, Ill. - The Rockford University women's volleyball team split a pair of non-conference matches at home Tuesday night. Rockford first took on Mount Mary and the Regents defeated them 3-0 (25-12, 25-8, 25-11). However, In the second match, Rockford fell to Monmouth 3-0 (25-15, 25-20, 25-15). The Regents dominated in every statistical category in the first match, including a major 40-18 advantage in kills. Rockford also flashed an impressive .360 hitting percentage on the match, while holding Mount Mary to just a -.024 hitting percentage. This led to the straight set win for Rockford in the first match of the night. In the second match, it was a different story as Rockford struggled against the Fighting Scots attack and was held to a negative hitting percentage by the Monmouth defense. This allowed Monmouth to take the second match in straight sets giving Rockford a split between its two matches on the night.

Rockford 3 Mount Mary 0
- Rockford scored the first 7 points of the opening set, including two kills by Melody Moreno and Madisen Perry and one kill by Jalyn Rhodes and Alexx Burton during the stretch.
- The Regents found their way to a 14-4 lead after a kill by Savannah Crooks and Rockford continued to pour it on, going on a slight 6-2 run after this kill, which included multiple Blue Angels errors.
- Rockford never looked back as Madisen Perry was able to close the first set at 25-12 with a kill to give the Regents the 1-0 match lead.
- Rockford came out red hot in the second set, scorching out to a 12-0 lead, capped off by an ace by Leila Cooks.
- The Regents continued to dominate the set, finding their way to a 20-4 lead after four-straight points that included two kills by Madisen Perry and two aces by Jasmine Landberg.
- Rockford was able to close out the second set 25-8 thanks to a set-ending kill by Tamsy Leverton.
- The third set also saw Rockford get out to a lead, this time 10-4 after a kill by Kennedy Bryant.
- Rockford was able to go on a commanding 15-7 run, including five straight points to end the set to eventually take the third set 25-11 and win the match in straight sets.
Monmouth 3 Rockford 0
- The Fighting Scots got out to an early 8-3 advantage to open the first set.
- Rockford was able to battle back to a 12-10 score after a slight 7-4 run that saw one Melody Moreno kill and multiple Monmouth errors to help the Regents creep back into the set.
- Unfortunately, the Fighting Scots were able to go on an impressive 13-5 run to close out the first set 25-15 and take a 1-0 lead in the match.
- Monmouth again got out to a lead to start the set, as they took a 9-3 lead to open the second set.
- However, Rockford was again able to battle back as they went on a 10-7 run to cut the Monmouth lead to 16-13. The run included two kills by Madisen Perry and Melody Moreno and one by Tamsy Leverton, Alexx Burton and Jalyn Rhodes.
- Rockford was eventually able to battle to within one after multiple errors by the Fighting Scots created a slight 20-19 Monmouth lead.
- Unfortunately, Monmouth was able to score the next five out of six points and take the second set 25-20, going up 2-0 in the match in the process.
- Monmouth came out hot to start the third set, taking a 13-4 lead after nine straight points.
- The Fighting Scots opening lead was too much to overcome for Rockford and Monmouth eventually took the third set 25-15, giving them the match win in straight sets.

Mount Mary
- Madisen Perry lead the match with 11 kills on a .500 hitting percentage, while also providing 11 digs, 1 block and an ace.
- Tamsy Leverton delivered 7 kills on a .455 hitting percentage, she also picked up 2 digs and 1 block.
- Leila Cooks provided 21 assists and 4 digs.
- Melody Moreno picked up 5 kills, 2 assists, 1 block, 1 ace and 10 digs.
- Savannah Crooks had 10 assists, 2 digs and 2 kills.
