ROCKFORD, Ill. -- The Rockford University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match to NACC conference opponent, Aurora University on Wednesday at the Seaver Center. Set scores were 25-6, 25-8, 25-16.
Ashley Mersch had three kills and
Tamsy Leverton and Jace Shaw each had two respectively.
Isabella Valdes made five assists, while
Leila Cooks and
Ashley Miller totaled four and two each.
Defensively, Miller tallied 16 digs while
Keara Ross and Cooks added 10 and nine each.
The Spartans exploded offensively in the first two sets, while the regents kept it close in the third, trailing 20-15. The Spartans then responded closing out the game on a 5-1 run.
The Regents will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 4, with a noon NACC contest at Wisconsin Lutheran College.
